Summer Fun

Well the kick off of summer is finally here. We went to Nolin last week, we have great friends that invite us to their lake house often. The rain finally has stopped and we have had 90 degree weather for a few days now. The pool is open and the kids went swimming in it for the first time this summer.

While at the lake I met an Amish friend, named Mary. Mary has 10 kids and 29 grandkids. She is very interesting to talk with. She is such a hard worker, she is kind and by the way, makes wonderful home made cinnamon rolls! She is coming to Mt. Washington this weekend and I can't wait to meet up with her. The Amish live such a simple life and sometimes it seems like we, as a society would be better off if we went back to simpler ways!

We have had the worst winter that I can remember. I am tired of the snow and tired of cold weather.

Ash has regional swim meets next Friday, cross your fingers. This is her first year on the swim team. She has been improving quite a bit on her times. I think her favorite is the butterfly stroke.

Later this month the cookie mom in me kicks in and we will be receiving and delivering lots of girl scout cookies!

Well I am gonna go for now, waiting on warmer weather!
